We're now into the season of the agricultural shows. What is often classed as the major agricultural show in the Scottish calendar, the Royal Highland Show at Ingliston just outside Edinburgh, is already over for 2025.

But in the south-west corner of Scotland where MW Engineering and Fabrication is based, these local shows are still to come:

• Dumfries Show - Park Farm, Dumfries - August 2nd, 2025
• Galloway Country Fair - Drumlanrig Castle, Thornhill - August 9th-10th, 2025
• Kirkcudbright Country Fair - The Carse, Kirkcudbright - July 19th-20th, 2025
• Stewartry Agricultural Show - Stewartry Rugby Club, Castle Douglas - July 26th, 2025
• Stranraer Show - London Road Playing Fields, Stranraer - July 30th, 2025
• Wigtown Show - Bladnoch Park, Wigtown, Dumfries and Galloway - August 6th, 2025

These shows are a great meeting place for the local farming communities and attract visitors from miles around. You might even spot some MW Engineering equipment like the sheep gripper above which comes highly recommended by our customers.
